Frequently Asked Questions
Do you buy antiques?
We do purchase antiques but we are very selective due to our inventory space and what is currently selling. Right now we are mostly interested in estate jewelry and period lighting pieces. We have recently downsized and are not interested in selling antique furniture.
If you have something that fits or you think we’d be interested in then you can get ahold of us using the contact page on the website, by phone (1-501-624-3370), or by coming into the store.
Do you know anyone else who buys antiques?
The Hot Springs Antique & Collectibles Dealers Association (which we are a proud part of!) has a collection of other antique, vintage, and flea market stores in and around Hot Springs, AR. The following Facebook link has contact information for all of them: https://www.facebook.com/hsacda/
How do you ship?
We ship via USPS First Class Mail with tracking. If you prefer a different shipping method or any add-on services, then contact us when the order is placed.
Our processing time is typically 1-2 business days. If you need a ring resized then this adds an additional 1-2 days to the processing time. We will notify you when we ship and include the USPS tracking number (when applicable).
Can I return or exchange an item?
Our business is to sell vintage or antique items. As such, these pieces have history and are often worn or lightly worn. We try our best to describe the condition of the pieces and include pictures from all angles, but if you feel we have made an error please contact us. We can work out a return or exchange from there.
Please note there is a 10% restocking fee on returned items. All returned items must be in the same condition they were shipped in.
How old is my item? Can you tell me about its history?
We wish we could provide exact eras, dates, and histories but often this simply isn’t the case. We receive a lot of our stock from estate sales or private sellers and this information doesn’t usually come with an item.
If we do specify an exact date or era, then it is usually based on the maker’s mark or some other identifying trait you can trust.
Some jewelry we are able to make approximations of based on their style (i.e. art deco styled jewelry is roughly from the 1920s) but this is by no means exact.
Speculating and researching are part of the fun of antiques!
Can this ring be re-sized?
Most rings can be sized reliably up or down two sizes by a trusted jeweler. Some can be sized more than that depending on the design of the ring. We offer sizing with our in-house jeweler. Contact us for a quote!
The hardest rings to resize are those with filigree or designs that wrap around the entire ring. We personally do not size these and advise that you buy them only if they fit your size. Eternity rings (rings with stones inset around the entire piece) cannot be resized.
If in doubt, contact us and we’ll let you know. We have plenty of experience.
Why do I keep seeing all these tiny ring sizes? Do you hate me?
We absolutely do not hate you! It’s no secret that our ancestors were much smaller people and some of these antique rings are itty bitty. But that’s no reason they should sit morosely in a dusty case when they could be worn on your finger, dazzling in the sun and living through new adventures!
See the above FAQ answer to learn about resizing rings.

Meet Suzanne
Suzanne’s journey with the Hot Springs Downtown began when she moved with her husband and son to Hot Springs in the early 1980s. She fell in love with the charm and unique history of the town. Both she and her husband Paul began avidly supporting the preservation of the historic downtown and the local arts community. Suzanne saved several historic buildings that were nearing demolition, renovating the original features and architecture.

About Our Building
In the spring of 1994, she combined her love of antiques and downtown Hot Springs and opened Historic District Antiques across from Bathhouse Row.
Here’s the building back in 1912 when it was a jewelry store and loan office. Though not exactly the same business, the similarities are startling!
